BASSETT ROAD

The conversion of this formerly dark Victorian interior into a bright, two bedroom flat took just six months on site to complete.

Shortly after buying the property in London’s Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the young owners set us the brief of a total refurbishment. They wanted a fun mix of classic and contemporary design and a bright open-plan living space to reflect their love of entertaining.

Bespoke carpentry and shifting walls have eliminated dark corridors and allowed light to reach the original lobby that connects the different living spaces.

By opening or shutting the sculptural joinery the clients can transform the lobby, and directly control the privacy element of the apartment when entertaining guests.
